CHROMATING 779

CHROMATING 779 IS A BLUE-BRIGHT CONVERSION COATING FOR ZINC THAT WHEN MIXED WATER AND NITRIC ACID, PRODUCES ATTRACTIVE BLUE-BRIGHT CHROMATE COATINGS ON ELECTROPLATED ZINC. IT IS SINGLE-STAGE PROCESS, WHICH IS SIMPLE MAINTAIN AND IS SUITABLE FOR RACK AND BARREL PLATING. IT HAS THE ABILITY TO OVERCOME THE DULLNESS CAUSED BY SMALL QUANTITIES OF METALLIC CONTAMINATION IN CYANIDE ZINC SOLUTION AND IN ADDITION WILL GENERATE A MODERATE INCREASE IN THE CORROSION RESISTANCE OF THE WORK. ALTHOUGH THIS PROCESS IS DESIGNED FOR USE WITH CYANIDE ZINC SOLUTIONS, IT MAY ALSO BE USED WITH OTHER-TYPES OF ZINC PLATING SOLUTIONS.
