Plating Process

The process of coating the surface of part with a metal layer using the help of electric current through an electrolyte  to improve the technical/mechanical properties of a part, protect the part from corrosion and embellish the appearance

The process of electrolytically forming a layer of copper on the surface of an item. Two basic types available are cyanide process and acid process.
